Platform for Change: How Software is Putting Confidence and Control Back in The Hands of Hazardous Waste Program Managers

When
Starting on September 27, 2021

Where
NAHMMA National 36th Annual Virtual Conference

Description of our session:

The world of hazardous materials management is changing rapidly: from new legislation to new waste streams, from industry-effecting events like COVID to exciting, new methods of outreach and education that are bringing more attention than ever to the field. Organizations managing hazardous materials programs must keep up, despite complex challenges to their productivity and to their ability to track every aspect of their process and meet their targets and goals.

Luckily, solutions that are putting confidence and control back in the hands of program managers now exist – and they’re redefining the very idea of hazardous waste management. Our session explores the changes, limitations, and everyday challenges faced by those managing such programs. We dive deeply into hazardous waste programs, pointing out common areas for optimization and improvement, and how simplicity can be found in an increasingly complex world.

Software is completely revolutionizing the industry: now, it is better equipped than ever to do the heavy lifting and completely support hazardous waste programs. Rather than getting trapped by minutiae and verifying time-consuming details, program managers now have the freedom to focus on what really matters for their businesses: making strong decisions based on reliable data, identifying and fixing problem areas in their processes that are blocking productivity, and providing reliable reporting that actually moves us all towards a circular economy. .
